A Global Impact
On Sunday, I was given the privilege of sharing a story from our El Salvador trip. Prior to the trip, our team decided on a message of transformation that Jesus provides (given by Kaybella), using a butterfly and its metamorphoses. I approached one of the managers at Dunkin Donuts, Desiree, and asked if I could purchase some of their large filters, pitching the vision of the message/craft. She generously donated them instead! She donated 100 filters, I purchased 100 clothespins, thinking we only needed around 75 crafts. As I shared, we experienced a ‘loaves and fishes’ event with God exceedingly providing more than 100. We originally planned for 2 events, but because plans had changed, we now needed crafts for 3 groups. As we debriefed
later, this total number was around 125-140 individuals.
I was able to share this with Desiree yesterday. As I had mentioned, I couldn’t wait to share this story with her, and I threw out her name to the congregation. As I was telling Desiree this incredible story of a miracle we experienced, by her donation, she said to me, “You know, there was a Rostraver Police officer who came in this week, telling me this exact story that he heard somewhere, about ME!” I said, it was at my church! Another Dunkin employee said, “Oh yeah? Where is your church?” There, in the lobby, of Dunkin, I was able to share our church and this incredible story, of God’s divine intervention, using a simple coffee filter.
Not only did I get to share with her (and those surrounding people listening), she asked me to email her corporate office and
give the details of the trip! Along with the email, I gave them photos of the impact they made with Desiree’s donation. Who knows the ripple effects of this? God is SO GOOD!
